We know that You know that John Snow knows nothing.’ Don’t be John Snow of your life. Let yourself evolve to Operations manager and solve one of the most recent problems faced by online platform based services.

This will give you a chance to show your competitive skills by giving us the best solution for the Case Study. Participate and get a chance to win amazing Cash Prizes and Certificates. Participants can register in the event as a team of 2 - 3 members.

The event will consist of two rounds explained as follows:

Round 1: Online Case Study Competition

  • Teams will be provided with an online case study related to the operations management field where the participants have to solve the questions attached with the given case.

  • 3 questions will be provided each carrying 10 points.

  • This will be qualifying round for Round-2 which will be held on-campus.

Rules for Round 1:

  • Team size 2 – 3 members per team.

  • One participant can be a part of only one team.

  • The solutions should be sent in .pdf and .doc format with the name convention.
    (Teamname_CooChallenge.pdf) & (Teamname_CooChallenge.doc) within 2 days.

  • Late Submissions won’t be entertained, please stick to the deadlines.

  • Any sought of plagiarism would not be accepted.

  • Only one member of the team should submit the solution.

  • Any number of teams can participate in the event from a college.

Round 2: Solution Seekers

  • In this round, each team has to select a company that is not performing well due to the inefficiency in their operations and they have to come up with an innovative solution by putting themselves in the shoes of the COO of that company for its revival in this competitive business world.

  • The participants have to present the solution by coming here on campus. The time allotted for the presentation will be 10 minutes.

  • Also, the shortlisted teams will have to provide us with their traveling reservation slips in order to confirm registration for the final round that is to be held on-campus, BITS Pilani.

Rules for Round 2:

  • The time allotted for the presentation will be 10 minutes.

  • 5 minutes of the question-answer session will be there by the judges and the audience (3+2 Min.)

  • The solutions should be sent in a .ppt format with the name convention.
    (Teamname_CooChallenge.ppt) at least two days prior to the event.

  • No limit on the number of slides.

  • Any sought of plagiarism would not be accepted.

  • Teams need to prepare the presentation taking the time into consideration. Extra usage of time will lead to negative marking.

Judging Criteria

The teams will be judged on the relevance of the problem statement with the modern world problem in the field of operations and supply chain management and the approach to solve the problem. Also, the presentations and way of delivering the content play an important role in the assessment of a team.

The decision of the jury is final in case of any discrepancies.

  • Registration Starts 16Th Feb, 2020 @ 10:00 hrs

  • Round 1 Starts: 25th Feb, 2020 @ 22:00 hrs

  • Round 1 Submission: 6th March, 2020 @ 22:00 hrs

  • Round 1 Result: 8th March, 2020 @ 18:00 hrs

  • Round 2: March 21 - 22, 2020 (on-campus)
